Sri Yagam Information
Sri Yagam is a mass prayer for world peace and prosperity. Mass Prayers have immense power as they invoke divine energy. Yagam is done by offering oblations through a holy fire in a sanctified altar or kunda. Lord’s compassion is recognized as ‘sri’ or ‘mahalakshmi’ his divine consort. The ability to console, soothe, be compassionate is the feminine power. Through Sri Yagam we are approaching the lord, our divine father through compassion personified mother Sri Maha Lakshmi for the well being of everyone.
Sri Yagam is a wonderful process which has been observed by none else than the King of Devathas, Indra. When he lost his wealth and when he was passing through so many hardships, he worshiped mother through Sri Yagam through different mantras and thus he regained his kingdom and became Indra.
Now the world is going through a very very painful process of economic
recession.. Across the world. We want to come out of it. Our JET USA along with all sister concerns is planned to make a mass chanting for two things.
1) For the peace of the world and
2) For the people to flourish with good wealth and health.
Viswa Santhi Sri Yagam was performed for 9 days at Jeeyar Asramam in Cranbury, NJ, during the last week of July 2010. 108 Rutviks performed the Sri Yagam with 33 homo kundams.
Kundas/Havans
Human beings are born in 27 time zones, each is called a Nakshatra. We will have 27 altars (kundas) one for each Nakshatra like Ashwini, Bharani etc, and perform special homams for each nakshatra to promote well-being for everyone. Because everyone on this planet earth is born in some particular star and a constellation. If that star and constellation is energized through those mantras, the fate of that person will be altogether changed for good.
Ishtis
Ishti is a special performance in the fire for fulfilling our specific needs through a special fire sacrifice. 7 Ishtis were performed for those who need special grace.
